The Brain is possibly the most complex structure in the known universe. It controls everything we do. It is responsible for every feeling, emotion, idea, memory, pain, joy and everything else that makes up our everyday lives. What then controls our brain or more important what is it in our brains that makes us think, remember, feel and more. The answer is Neurons, Neurons are the basic building blocks of our thoughts.

In Short neurons are eletrically ran cells that process and transmit information. Neurons are who and what we are, there are more than 50 different kinds of them and each varies in size and weight yet all have a basic common structure. The human brain consists of more than 100 billion different neurons and each one is capable of getting information from one another.

The body of each neuron is shaped to allow it to easily pass its energy. Each cell is made up of its body which is called the soma, and two arms the axon and the dendrite. It is the two arms that allow communication between other cells. The dendrite is a tree like structure that reaches out and receives the signals while the axon passes the information. Basically a receiver and transmitter. The Passing of this information is the basics behind how our brain works and the structure of each neruon allows this electrochemical process to take place.

I hope your website will tell us how the neurons can be improved and whether it is the neuron or the synapse or both that determines intelligence. I'm going there now.

An interesting article, James. Each part of the human body is an astounding piece of workmanship. The smaller you get, the more intriguing it becomes. The DNA cells for example. Thanks for sharing this with us.
